1:35 scale figure Project part 1

Beberapa pekan lalu, saya ditanya apakah bisa membuat figur miniatur dengan skala 1:35. Sejujurnya, saya belum pernah membuat figur dengan ukuran sekecil ini sebelumnya jadi ada baiknya latihan dulu. Post ini merupakan dokumentasi latihan saya dalam mebuat figur kecil tersebut. Terima kasih kepada Solo Kiyoshi dari Aurora Model untuk tekniknya.

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked if I could make a miniature figure in the 1:35 scale. Honestly, I've never sculpt a figure that small before. So I think I would do some trial run for it. This Post documents my work in progress on making the little figures. Thanks goes to Solo Kiyoshi from Aurora model for the technique.


Semua dimulai dengan seonggok MwaxZ tipe L. Saya membuat panduan dalam bentuk garis yang menandakan tinggi figur (4 cm) dan membaginya dalam beberapa bagian sebagai penanda proporsi. Sebuah sket awal digores pada MwaxZ. Sket ini akan menjadi dasar pose dari figur yang akan dibuat.

It all started with a lump of MwaxZ type L. I draw the lines to mark the height of the figure (4 cm) and divide the line into parts as proportion markers. A sketch is then etch into the wax. This will be the base pose for the figure.

Mabinogi Figma Custom figure

Figure keying

Sebuah video tentang cara membuat sistem 'kunci-gembok' setelah memotong figur per bagian. Walau dalam bahasa jepang, gambar yang ditayangkan mudah dipahami. Dapat diterapkan pada hampir segala jenis bahan seperti wax (MwaxZ) dan epoxy putty (MpoxZ).

A video about keying a figure after cutting it in to parts. Even though it's in Japanese, the picture is easy to undertsand. This method can be used with almost every material, such as wax (MwaxZ) and epoxy putty (MpoxZ).

Workshop Recast dan sculpting
