Go Doggie! Go! part 3-a tale of the Scratch build Anime figure

Just finished the first round of priming and sanding. Still need to sand this some more and touch up some details. It'll probably take 3 more round of preping until it ready to paint. I'll document the painting process here.

So stay tuned!

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your sculpts everyone!

Go Doggie! Go! part 2

Here's a progress shot of the sculpt. Working with epoxy putty sure speed up my work!

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your sculpts everyone!

New sculpt: Go Doggie! Go!

I'm going to take a break from some 'serious' sculpting and do a fun piece for Clubhouse's sculpting Jam.
The theme this week is Unconditional Love: pets or any old animal that could possibly be a pet.

I'm not going for a realistic look...since I'm not skillful enough yet. So it will be a tooned/anime inspired piece.
I'm doing this with homebrew epoxy putty (more on this in the future posts), so at least I'll have something to paint later in the week.
Still haven't decide what the dog will be though, since I'm a cat person.

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your sculpts everyone!

Sculpting Demo at YETA! Be there!

Hi guys. Great news!

I've been asked to participate in a sculpting demo at this year's "Year End Toys Attack" fair at Blok M Plaza. I'm scheduled to be there at 22-23 December. Currently I'm planning to do a bust sculpting demo, but nothing is certain yet. If you happen to be near the area at that time, do drop by!

See you there!

Figure sculpting: Wicked Witch of the West WIP 01

Hello again!

I've entered the clubhouse sculpting Jam once more. This time the subjects are the land of Oz and Narnia.
My entry this time is Wicked Witch of the West, at least my rendition of her. Like most of my sculpt she is made from soft oil clay. I'm still brewing my home made clay... still no luck. No armature (unless you count a single q-tip stick as armature), and standing 4,5" tall. This is also a chance for me to study up on sculpting clothes and drapery.

As always enjoy, and thanks for visiting!
